Waltham serial number 12,593,061 is an open face, 16 size, 23 jewels, lever set, model 1899, and made around 1903. It is cased in a Keystone Watch Case Company, plain polished, 20 year gold filled, screw type case. The dial is double sunk porcelain with bold Arabic numerals. The minute track has every 5 minutes marked in red on the outside. The hands are blued steel spade hands.
The movement has been ornamented with diamond endstones on the balance, raised gold jewel settings, rounded screw heads, chamfered regulator neck, and a solid gold center wheel. The plates are finished with nickel checker-board damascening.
The mechanical features and highlights include the steel escape wheel, patent star regulator, double roller escapement, the jewel pin set into the safety roller without shellac, temperature compensating bi-metallic balance, adjusted to temperature, Isochronism, and five positions.
